What fascinates me the most about cooking is how the ingredients blend together to form a unique taste that pokes at our taste buds differently. The art of cooking is one that brings creativity the most important aspects of our lives: food. It brings me great joy and satisfaction to watch people relish a delicious meal !
I grew up in Bangalore, India. As a child, we made mainly Indian and vegetarian food, which was eaten purely out of necessity. As I entered my 20s, I began to explore a large variety of food and was introduced to a more diverse cuisines including meat. After marriage, my husband and I began to travel and explore different cuisines offered around the world. This experimentation brought me to the kitchen, where I began to attempt at recreating the various dishes we tasted on our travels. In 2014, we moved to Singapore. Here I joined the ICCS (International cooking club of Singapore), which meets once in two weeks. I was part of a cooking and baking group. In these groups, I met women from diverse culinary backgrounds and exchanged recipes which we grew up on or family favourites. It has been an amazing journey of discovering like minded individuals and exchanging our culinary love and experiences. I now enjoy cooking food from various cultures. My kitchen and pantry includes diverse equipment and ingredients from across the world to cook anything in a giffy.
Through this blog I intend to share my tried and tested favourite recipes with my friends, family and passionate individuals who enjoy cooking like me!!
